Exams Dept. issues deadline for revisions to GCE A/L admission cards

The window of time given to GCE A/L Examination candidates to amend their admission cards will end by November 18 midnight and therefore candidates can make any revisions to their admission cards if necessary before that deadline, Examinations Commissioner General Amith Jayasundara said.

He emphasised the importance of candidates reviewing their admission cards for accuracy in detail such as name, subjects, and the medium of instruction. All revisions should be done online on the official website of the Examination Department – online exams.gov.lk.

Subjects, language medium and name corrections in the admission cards received by Principals or private applicants can be done online. One candidate will get only one chance to make these revisions and there will be no replacements of exam centres.

The GCE A/Level Examination will be held from November 25 to December 20.

Private applicants who have not received their admission cards by post or who have not been able to download the admission cards from the internet should come to the Examination Department with a copy of the application form, a photocopy of the examination fee payment receipt or a certified letter obtained from the postmaster of the post office at which the examination fee was paid.
