Exorcist killed after undue advances in Talagala

Moragahahena Police yesterday said that a person was hacked to death with sharp weapons inside a house in Talagala, Moragahahena.

The deceased has been identified as U. A. Suranga (40) of Yakahaluwa in Kiriwaththuduwa and he is an exorcist. Preliminary investigations have revealed that four persons including a woman have been involved in the murder. Police said that the victim had gone to the suspect’s house to perform a ritual for the well-being of the householders. Police investigations have revealed that the woman of the house had not liked the inappropriate advancesl by the exorcist at that moment.

Police said that he sustained serious cut injuries and he died while he was being taken to Homagama hospital. Investigations are being conducted under the supervision of Panadura SSP Samanth Wedage
