Fair general demand for low grown teas

There was fair general demand for the low grown teas which were on offer at this week auction held on June 7.

Best OP1, OP, OPAs were sold at firm to dearer levels, whilst the clean below best sorts were generally firm. Stalky types were irregularly lower. Clean leaf BOP1s were firm to selectively dearer, whilst the balance maintained. PEK, PEK1s were sold at firm to dearer levels. Well-made BOP, BOPF, FBOP, FBOPF, FBOPF1s were generally firm on last. However the mixed stalky varieties declined.
