Felicitation for former cricketers of St. Mary’s, Kegalle

Former cricketers of St. Mary’s College, Kegalle being welcomed to the felicitation ceremony.

A felicitation ceremony to honour former cricketers of St. Mary’s College of Kegalle was held recently at the school premises. Former cricketers of the school who have excelled at national and provincial levels were felicitated.

At the felicitation ceremony organized by the sports sub-committee of the St. Mary’s College of Kegalle for the first time tributes were paid to cricketers who played for the school since 1950s. Tharanga Paranavithana and Chaminda Bandara who represented the national cricket team were among them.

Old boys, former Director General of the National Institute of Education, Dr. Sunil Jayantha Navaratne, veteran actor Bandu Samarasinghe, Major General Kallum Nugegoda, Brigadier Wasantha Hevage of Sri Lanka Army, teachers and St. Mary’s College Principal Gamini Karunaruwan were present at the event.
