As the First Stage of the 12th SAMAPOSHA Trophy Under-14 Football Championships concluded, fifty-six teams emerged as District Champions – 32 boys teams and 24 girls teams. Their sights are now firmly set on securing a coveted spot in the semi-finals as they gear up for the Second Stage matches set to kick off at the Urban Council grounds, Dambulla today.
SAMAPOSHA, proudly sponsored by CBL Plenty Foots (Pvt) Ltd, has been the leading brand name behind this prestigious tournament, which commenced on June 13. Initially scheduled for July 29, the highly-anticipated finals of the 12th SAMAPOSHA Trophy faced a venue availability issue. Consequently, the finals and third-place matches have been rescheduled to July 30, and will take place at the same venue.
The Second Stage promises to deliver intense competition and exhilarating moments. With the chance to advance to the semi-finals on the line, the teams will undoubtedly showcase their best efforts, leaving no room for error in their pursuit of glory and the ultimate title of SAMAPOSHA Trophy U-14 Football Champions.
