Fingerprint attendance made mandatory for Health Ministry officers
Health Ministry’s Medical Administration Service and other executive grade officers have been made mandatory to use fingerprint machines to record their daily arrival and departure from August 1.
Health Ministry Additional Secretary Geethamani C. Karunaratne has forwarded this circular to all Additional Secretaries, Director General of Health Services, all Chief Financial Officers.
Accordingly, the fingerprint machine must be used to record the daily attendance of the officers of the Medical Administration Service of the Health Ministry who receive additional duty allowances and other executive grade officers.
This is subject to a Cabinet decision to ensure that the related allowances are properly paid to the officials engaged in additional duties in the Health Ministry, the circular mentioned.
