First Kandy Randoli Perahera parades today
The first Randoli Perahera of the Kandy Esala Festival will parade the streets today (26).
Departing from the Temple of Tooth in the south direction at 7.26 p.m., the Perahera will travel along Dalada Street, D.S.Senanayake Street, Temple Road, Devale Street, Colombo Street, E.L. Senanayake Street, Cross Street, D.S.Senanayake Street and go up Raja Weediya. Diyawadana Nilame Pradeep Nilanga Dela said the second Randoli Perahara will leave from the Temple of Tooth tomorrow (27) at 6.46 p.m. and travel along Dalada Street, D.S. Senanayake Street, Colombo Street, Yatinuvara Street and up Raja Weediya. The Randoli Perahara will parade the streets for five days from today (26). The royal tusker carries the sacred casket casket of relics and walks under the white canopy in these processions.
