First Lady’s mother passes away

The death occurred yesterday of Padmadevi Peiris, mother of First Lady Ioma Rajapaksa and mother-in-law of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa.

She was also the mother of Samantha Peiris and mother-in-law of Cheryl Peiris. She was the Grandmother of Manoj, Sevwandie, Isuri and Sauri and the great grandmother of Dulanya. She was the wife of the late Lucas Peiris. Funeral Arrangements will be notified later.
