First public rally of new alliance led by SLFP held
The first public rally of the new alliance led by the Sri Lanka Freedom Party was held in Ambalantota town yesterday (08) afternoon.
The special of this public rally, which was held under the theme “For the winning country – Together future”, was the participation of 21 Members of Parliament representing various parties. Also, 05 members of parliament members who are currently abroad have informed that they will join this alliance in the future.
The meeting organized by Hambantota District Member of Parliament, Senior Vice President of Sri Lanka Freedom Party and Minister of Agriculture and Plantation Industries Mr. Mahinda Amaraweera He decided to people will not participate in this meeting from any other district and all the people who participated were from Hambantota district.
The rest of the MPs asked to allow the people from other districts to participate, but Mr. Mahinda Amaraweera refused it, and he decided to bear up all the weight of this meeting.
All the speakers who participated in this meeting referred to the Minister of Ports and Civil Aviation Nimal Siripala de Silva as the leader of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party.
The meeting started at around 2.30 pm and continued till 05 pm.
The member of parliaments Nimal Siripala de Silva, Mahinda Amaraweera, Duminda Dissanayake, Susil Premajayantha, Anura Priyadarshana Yapa, Nimal Lanza, Lasantha Alagiyawanna, Muslim Congress MP A. H. Musharraf, Ali Sabri, Advocate Premanath C. Dolawatta, Suren Raghavan, Chamara Sampath Dasanayake, John Senaviratne, Udayakanta Gunathilake include 21 MPs and 100 organizers including district leaders of Sri Lanka Freedom Party participated as a chief guests in this meeting.
