Food scarcity imminent – Sajith

Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa questioned why there should be an Agriculture Minister or a Fertilizer Minister in the country if the task of distributing fertilizer is handed over to the Army Commander.

Addressing a programme in Bundala yesterday (9) the Opposition Leader said that this was a sign that the Minister of Agriculture, the Minister of Fertilizers and all relevant officials had failed.

He further stated that due to the reckless and arbitrary actions taken by the government related to agriculture, there will be food scarcity in the country soon.
