
Former first lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa was arrested by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) this morning.
Bribery Commission officials had reportedly recorded a statement from Rajapaksa at her residence prior to her arrest.
According to reports, Shiranthi Rajapaksa has been arrested over allegations of having obtained Rs. 10 million from a state bank allegedly committing misappropriation, corruption, and offenses under the Public Property Act. (Newswire)
