Former Rajan Sachintha Udara was an outstanding cricketer
He had the honour of Captaining the First Eleven Cricket Team of Dharmaraja during the 2018/2019 Inter-Schools cricket season.
He started his cricket career from 2006 and learnt the basics of the game under the guidance of coaches Senaka Dissanayake, Ananda Wijeyasekera, Gamini Wasalathanthri and Gamini Debahapuwa. In 2015, he was appointed Captain of the Under-15 Team and led his team to the final-round of the tournament. In 2016, he was selected to represent the First Eleven Team while playing in the Under-17 Cricket Team.
In 2017, he captained the Under-17 Cricket Team and scored six half-centuries against Mahinda, Richmond, St. Peter’s, Trinity, Vidyartha and St. Anne’s, Kurunegala and led the team to the quarter-finals of the tournament.
In 2018, he scored his first century against Wesley College and scored 77 against Kingswood in the Big Match and led the team to victory in the limited over match.
Sachintha represented the Old Rajans Cricket Team from 2020 onwards and also represented the Kandy Super Kings Cricket Team in the tournament organised by the Kandy District Cricket Association.
