Formulate New Constitution – TNA

The Tamil National Alliance (TNA) yesterday called on the present government to come up with a new Constitution so that it can successfully answer the questions of the Tamil people.

Tamil National Alliance (TNA) Kilinochchi District Parliamentarian S. Sridharan in an event at Kilinochchi said a provision should be included in the new constitutions to enable Tamil people to live as equal citizens in this country. He said that no one recognizes that Tamils have an equal right to live in Sri Lanka despite the promises made by every Sinhala politician to create such an environment in the country.

He said the TNA was constantly striving to give the Tamil people their rightful place in history in the country and to restore many of the rights they had lost.
