Four Antonian cricketers in women's national pool
Four women cricketers from St.Anthonys’ Girls’ School,Kandy have been selected to the National Cricket Pool, Three cricketers for the Under Nineteen Pool and one cricketer for the Under Twenty one pool.
Nethmi Malshani Seventeen year old Nethmi,leads the 2021 Season and she is the third highest runs scorer of Sri Lanka in the final season and she is a Left arm opening batswoman and a right arm off spinner, good All-rounder. Became the Runner-up at the Most Popular Schoolgirl Cricketer of the year 2019/2020 and a member of the Kandy District and Provincial Cricket teams in the Under Nineteen category and a fourth year player.
Shalani Dassanayake Seventeen year old left arm fast bowler, middle order Batswoman who is a hard hitting bat and good all-rounder. Member of the District & Provincial Cricket teams in the Under Nineteen category and a fourth year player.
Nimeshika Seneviratne -Seventeen year old, Nimeshika is a Fast Bowler and middle order batswoman and Member of the District & Provincial cricket teams. Under Nineteen fourth year player.
Tharushi Thathsarani Twenty year old, Tharushi is a Fourth year player of the Under Nineteen School Cricket team and a Member of the District & Provincial cricket teams. A Right arm leg spinner, has endurance to play a long innings. Good all-rounder and extra Wicket keeper.
Susantha Bansnayake, a Cricket coach of St.Anthonys’ Girls’School Kandy for Eight years, coached the Cricket Players from an early age in hard ball cricket. At present he is currently a talented Cricket Coach in the Central Province and he was an old boy of St.Anthonys’ College,Katugastota, a good cricketer in school and a qualified Cricket Coach who was assisted by Wasanthi Jinadasa and Lakmini Amarasekera two experienced teachers of the School with the encouragement of the Principal of the School C.K.Ranasinghe and the Prefect of Games, Harshanie Basnayake.
