The Highforest Police have launched an investigation regarding the disappearance of four children, including three girls, who were residing in an estate house at the Kandapola Marigold Estate.
A complaint was made to the police on Monday (27) by their father Siranjan Divyaraj.
He told the police that the children have been missing from the house since Saturday (25). Police
said that the children’s mother had gone to work in a Middle Eastern country two months ago. The children’s father mentioned to the police that the children were taken care of by the elder daughter Divyaraj Nithyadarshani since the mother left. She was 19 years old.
Investigations have revealed that the eldest daughter had run away from home with her two
sisters and brother. The other two girls are aged 14 and 13. The male child is the youngest. He
was 12 years old.
A senior police officer said that as there is information that these four children have gone to
Gampaha area, and that is also being investigated.
