Four held over murder of Dan’s brother last July

The Colombo Crimes Division arrested four persons yesterday, including the main suspect involved in the hacking to death of Pathiranage Prakash Thilina Kumara (34), the brother of Dan Priyasad, who was the media spokesperson of Ape Janbala Pakshaya as well as the chairman of the Nawa Sinhale Organization.

Colombo Crime Division stated that three of the four arrested suspects are residents of Wellampitiya. The fourth is a resident of Webada.

Dan Priyasad’s brother was hacked to death under the Orugudawatta flyover on July 25 last year.The suspect from Webada is a 50-year-old man.

The Colombo Crime Division stated that the rest of the suspects are between the ages of 25 and 21.

Also the police have found the car in which these suspects came for this murder and the swords they had used.The Colombo Crime Division stated that the killing was based on a dispute over a drug trade.
