Four remanded over Kaduwela murder

Kaduwela Magistrate Chanima Wijebandara remanded the four suspects who were arrested in connection with the naked body found abandoned in 8th mile post, Wewa Road, Kaduwela Weliwita. They were produced at the official residence of the magistrate yesterday evening (4) and ordered to be remanded till August 11.

These four suspects had been detained and interrogated for 48 hours on the orders of the court and then brought back once again to be produced before the Kaduwela Magistrate by the Kaduwela police who are investigating the murder. The married duo Munaweera Kankanamage Dinesh Iroshana Tharinda, a resident of, Wellampitiya Megoda Kolonnawa and Knei Sharmila as well as Kulasekara Mudianselage

Susantha Priyadarshana Kumara, a resident of Lansiyawatta, Kittampahuwa Wellampitiya, were remanded together with Wijesuriya Arachchilage Thusita Sampath, a resident of Kelanimulla Angoda, who is a three-wheeler driver.
