Four suspects further remanded

Kalutara Chief Magistrate Nitha Hemali Halpandeniya yesterday (26) ordered that the four suspects currently being held in connection with the death of the 16-year-old schoolgirl who fell from a five-storied building in Kalutara town, be further remanded till June 9.

The main suspect who was said to be in the room with the girl and the suspects who accompanied her to the hotel and other who drove the car of the main suspect were further remanded.

It was first stated that the mobile phone of the deceased had been thrown into the Kalu Ganga but it was confirmed in the Court based on the further report submitted by the CID that it had been thrown elsewhere.
