Funeral of TNA leader in Trincomalee on Sunday

The funeral of former Opposition and Tamil National Alliance (TNA) Leader R. Sampanthan will be conducted in Trincomalee next Sunday (7). Sampanthan (91) passed away on Sunday.

The last rites will be held as per Hindu religious rites at the Trincomalee Public Cemetery.

Although the last rites of the late Parliamentarian were set for yesterday (4), the organising committee had decided to perform the last rites on Sunday giving more time for the public to pay their respects.
