Gampola girl was strangulated, buried later – JMO

The post-mortem examination of 22-year-old Fatima Munavuwara, a resident of Gampola, who was killed and buried, was conducted yesterday (14) by the Judicial Medical Officer of the Kandy National Hospital.

It has been stated in the medical report that this death was caused by strangulation and that she was not raped.

While going from her home to her workplace, this young woman had gone missing for six days and later it was revealed that a 24-year-old married father of one residing in her village had killed this young woman and buried her secretly.
