Gauthamadasa achieves the IPI code among internationally recognized lyricists

Dilan Gauthamadasa , an upcoming young lyricist in the music field, started his songwriting career in 2013 . Up to now, he has come a successful journey of 7 years writing 53 songs, and has achieved another milestone being registered as a Sri Lankan song writer in the among international songwriters. Now he has an identity of his own which is recognized as the IPI code, where the international community will recognize him as a song writer. He wishes to thank ‘’We did it global ‘’ the first Music publishing and Administration Company which helps Sri Lankan lyricists to create an identity of their own along with the current rules and regulations of the music industry. ‘

“It is because of them that upcoming musicians, lyricists like us were able to follow a path of our own. I feel proud to have my songs and those which are due to be released, will be included in the international arena through this digital platform. I had a break during the post Covid situation and am beginning to create new music by transmitting ideas into words. Though I wrote songs, I never expected to gain an achievement like this with the current competition in the music field. But because fans enjoy my music continuously it will be a very easy journey for me, no matter how many challenges I might face, and will help me to I improve my skills. The main reason for this is my commitment and interest in music,” he says. – SP
