Giranegama Police on trail of two burglars

Giranegama Police commenced an investigation to arrest two persons who allegedly entered a house in

Dewahuwa, Yaya 05 area, threatened the owner with a gun, and robbed money and jewellery worth more than Rs. 600,000 from the house. This robbery took place last Saturday (30) night.

The House owner is a 35-year-old farmer. Who informed Police that the value of the gold items stolen was Rs. 600,000, worn by his wife and him, a mobile phone worth Rs. 20,000 and Rs. 3,500 in cash was removed from his house.

He also told the Police that it happened all of a sudden, when the two armed robbers broke into the house and committed the robbery.
