Gold chain worth Rs. 800,000 robbed on Marine Drive

Bambalapitiya Police are investigating the robbery of a gold chain from a Manager of a multinational company selling dairy related products.

The robbery had taken place at around 7 a.m on Sunday morning when the Manager was walking along Marine Drive.

He had complained to Police that two men who had followed him had snatched the chain which is valued at Rs.800,000.

Police are scrutinizing CCTV footage in the area to identify the culprits.

The Manager is a resident of Wellawatte, Police said.
