‘Goluhadawatha’ screened today

Popular Sinhala film ‘Goluhadawatha’ which impacted the literature, music and popular culture of 60s will be screened today at 6 p.m. at the Tharanganie Theatre in the National Film Corporation premiss to mark the 104th birth anniversary of its director Maestro Dr.Lester James Peries.

Artistes and technical staff who contributed towards this film will also participate.Veteran artistes Wickrama Bogoda and Anula Karunathilake acted the lead roles of Sudath and Dhammi and the film is based on a novel written by Karunasena Jayalath. His novel won the Literary Award for the best novel category.
