Gotabaya Rajapaksa files petition to block arrest under PTA over Easter Sunday probe

Former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has filed a petition before the Court of Appeal seeking an order preventing his arrest under the Prevention of Terrorism Act (PTA) in connection with investigations into the Easter Sunday terror attacks.
The petition, submitted through Attorney-at-Law Sanath Wijewardena, names the Inspector General of Police, the Director of the Criminal Investigation Department Shani Abeysekara, and CID officer Madhawa Gunawardena as respondents. (Newswire)
