Govt. implementing political agenda – Opposition Leader

The Government is implementing a personal political agenda instead of a common agenda amidst a crisis, said Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa.

He said those who were in the previous Government and re-joined the present government speaking about and planning to develop this country now is hilarious.

The Opposition Leader stated this addressing an event held at the Samudra Devi Girls’ College in Katugastota on Thursday.

He said the only happiness of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya is the happiness of the general public. Therefore, his party has no need to join the Government for its own well-being at a time when people are suffering in queues beside the roads.

Premadasa said a Parliamentarian who was rejected by the public and failed to secure at least a single seat in Parliament forming a Government with the blessings of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna MPs is against the mandate given by the people.
