Govt must help religious places with concessional electricity tariff – Sajith

Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa said the government must introduce a concessional electricity tariff system for temples and other religious places.

Issuing a statement Premadasa says that the contribution of the Cultural Fund can be obtained for that. In the statement Premadasa says that some places of worship finds it difficult to pay electricity tariff and is an unbearable burden for them. He stressed that rulers should understand any country has a unique culture and religious value systems and should be committed to protect them.
