Gunawardana Tea Factory gets yet another all-time record price

Gunawardana Tea Factory, situated in Akuressa has been successful in obtaining yet another All-time Record Price of Rs.2,050 per kg on a BM grade in the Off Grade category, which was sold at the E- auction held on August 2 and 3 by breaking its own latest record prices of Rs. 1,900 for the same grade (sold at the auction of July 5 and 6 2022).

Gunawardana Tea Factory, is renowned for manufacturing high quality, award winning teas and is well-known for achieving top prices frequently at weekly Tea Auctions.

This Tea Factory is owned and managed by the Proprietor, J. J. Gunawardana who is reputed in manufacturing high quality, standard ‘Ceylon Tea’ at all times.

This line of tea was successfully auctioned by Mercantile Produce Brokers (Pvt) Ltd and purchased by Uni World Teas (Pvt) Ltd.
