Harin assumes duties as Tourism, Land Minister

Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) MP, Harin Fernando assumed duties as the Minister of Tourism and Lands on Friday. He said that Sri Lanka needs to stop the fuel, gas and other queues and create a more peaceful environment to woo tourists back to Sri Lanka.

Fernando told the media at his new office that he accepted the ministerial portfolio for the sake of the nation and added that one has to forget their political party agenda and think of the nation and unite and work towards rebuilding the nation.

Meanwhile, the Sri Lanka Association of Inbound Tour Operators (SALITO) congratulated Harin Fernando on his appointment as Minister of Tourism and Lands. “We are confident that he will work towards the betterment of the industry and with his experience and knowledge help us.”
