Left hand top order bat, Left arm orthodox bowler Captain of the under 19 team, Fifth year colourswoman, Safe fielder in any position with a good arm, , Member of the Colombo Colts Cricket Club Premier division team and Vice Captain of the School Netball Team. Hashini Dilakshi Liyanage has brought honour and immense glory to her alma mater Anula Vidyalaya Nugegoda with her deeds in the field of sports.

Hashini Dilakshi Liyanage

Hashini was born on 11 th July 2001 and hails from Kirulapone, Colombo 6 and admitted to Anula Vidyalaya in 2008 when Mrs. Neelamani was at the helm of the school Hashini did not do any sports up to grade four and from grade five up to grade nine she participated in Netball commencing from Inter House Level and her Netball Coach was Mrs.Sepali. When she was in grade six she participated in the Milo Tournament for the under 12 age category and annually she took part in the Milo Tournament and in 2016 she was the House Captain and won the tournament and participated in the Divisional and Zonal Tournaments and they were the Runner up and in the same year she was the Vice Captain to Amandi Buddhika and they came up to the Best 16 in the All Island Milo Tournament.

Though she played Netball her Parents Indika Sanjeewa Liyanage and Renuka Weerasinghe noticing that her forte is cricket handed over their daughter to the school Master in Charge Sujeeva Samarawickrama and Coach Sahan Deshapriya respectively and She walked in to the under 19 team with ease and her first year was in 2016/2017 and at the All Island Schools Singer Tournament they were the Runner up and in 2017/18, 2018/19, 2019/20 they were the All Island Runners up and in 2020/21 they came up to Semi Finals and due to Coronavirus the Tournament came to a halt and for the 2021/2022 season she was appointed as the School Captain and her Vice Captain is Imasha Nethmi and they have now reached up to quarter finals. She was awarded school cricket colours in 2018 and 2019 and also she received the Western Province colours too.

Then in 2018 Palian Dinesh Weerasinghe and Lalanga Rajapakshe took over their Coaching

In the meantime she joined the Colombo Colts Ladies Cricket Club in 2017 and to date she is playing for the Premier Tournament and her Coach is Kanishka Perera. She was selected for the Colombo District Squad and played in the District Tournament and she is a Member of the Provincial Squad too.
