Reports of ‘Maharshi director’ Vamshi Paidipally teaming up with actor Vijay for ‘Thalapathy 66’ have been going for the past couple of months. Recently we had reported that singer Krish had apparently confirmed the same, though an official announcement is yet to be made. While wishing the director on social, on his birthday, the singer had mentioned that the director’s next film is with Vijay, but later deleted the post.

Now, the latest reports is that Vijay has confirmed that his ‘Thalapathy 66’ will be directed by Vamshi Paidipally and produced by Dil Raju. Buzz is that the star actor has apparently signed the dotted line for the Tamil-Telugu bilingual and will be receiving the highest salary ever by a South Indian star. If reports are to believed, Thalapathy Vijay will get a salary of abour 120 crores for the film.

Looks like Thalapathy Vijay is all set to make his debut in Telugu. The film will be produced by Dil Raju and is said to be a Tamil-Telugu bilingual. There are also reports that he might team up with young director Desingh Periysamy for his next #Thalapathy67.

Meanwhile, actor Vijay is busy shooting for his upcoming film ‘Beast’ directed by Nelson Dilip Kumar of Nayanthara’s ‘Kolamavu Kokila’ and Sivakarthikeyan’s ‘Doctor’ fame. Pooja Hegde plays the leading lady in the film. Music is by Anirudh Ravichander and cinematography is by Manoj Paramahamsa.
