Fifth year player Member of the District and Provincial teams. Best player of the Junior Nationals under 16 and under 21 teams. Member of the All Island Champion Team, Member of the Women’s Junior Asia Cup Tour of Singapore, Member of the Schools Hockey Nationals Champion Team 2022 Ranmini Sanjana Femando has brought honour and immense glory to her alma mater Holy Family Convent Wennappuwa and the motherland with her deeds in the field of hockey.

Ranmini who hails from Wennappuwa was born on 15th March 2003 and admitted to her present school in 2009 and when she was in grade six her parents Ruwan Femando and Swama Femando handed over their daughter to School Hockey Officials Mrs.Kumari, Mrs.Priyangani and Milan Boteju and in 2015. she participated for the All Island under 13 team and her position is centre

forward and in the following year her team were under 13 runners up and in the same year her team were the champions of the Puttalam District Festival Open Meet and in 2017 too they were champions and in the same year they participated in the under 18 All Island Tournament and at the Royal Sevens and Visakha Sevens they were the second runner up.

In 2018 her school were the under 16 All Island Runners up and Ranmini was adjudged as the Best player of the tournament and in the 2018 under 18 tournament they were the Runners up and in the under 20 All Island too they were the Runner up.

Year 2019 was a tight schedule for Ranmini with eight major tournaments commencing from under 20 All Island in which they came third and in the under 21 Junior Nationals they were the champions and she was adjudged the Best player of the tournament and her school team played with an Australian Visiting team and under 20 National Tournament in which they came third and

District Festival Open Tournament they were the winners and in the under 18 All Island Tournament they clinched the trophy and she was selected for the Women’s Junior Asia Cup under 21 team for the tour of Singapore which was a fine exposure for her and the Royal College Sevens Tournament they were the second runner up in the Visakha Sevens

Then in 2022 at the Schools National Tournament they reached up-to Semi finals and in the All Island 2022 National Schools Hockey Tournament they were champions.
