Holiday for all Tamil schools on Monday

The Education Ministry today announced a school holiday for all Tamil schools on Monday  as the Deepavali festival falls on Sunday (12).

Since Deepavali is celebrated on Sunday (12), teachers and students will not be attending schools on the following day, so the Ministry have decided to grant this holiday.

However, the Education Ministry today announced that schools must be held on November 18 (Saturday) to cover the syllabus.
