After ten years time Hyacinth was back on the seen as the National coach. The newly appointed coach Hyacinth said we have limited time to prepare for the Asian championship but I am very keen to take this challenge and present Netball Federation headed by Ranjani Jayakody give all support.
At the moment there are 54 players in the pool and we are plan to prune down it to 18 players by the first week of February.
“The Federation already completed a very good talent search at Provincial level. I am sure few players also can get a chance to the National squad said the new coach. I have new plans such as super league tournament for the Netball players to get more match practice as well as make strong second string team and always focus on coaches development during my period,” added Hyacinth Wijesinghe.
International exposure with more matches is very important and especially after Global Pandemic we are very concerne about players’ fitness to get their form and these arethe key areas we focus on,” said Hyacinth Wijesinghe.
