I am still the SJB Deputy Secretary – Diana

Tourism State Minister Diana Gamage told Parliament yesterday a fake document has been prepared by forging

her resignation in an attempt to remove her from the Deputy Secretary post of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya.

She said this forged document had been submitted to the Colombo District Court indicating her resignation by the SJB. I have registered with the Election Commission and I am still working as the Deputy Secretary of that party.

She said that she has complained to the CID regarding such forged documents and will take legal action in the future. She said this while speaking during the adjournment debate on the issues faced by the Sri Lankan industry, including small and medium-scale entrepreneurs.

One Opposition member said the President and I put pressure on the court and postponed the case. It is a violation of my parliamentary privilege. I will work on that in the future. No one can influence the court like that. Only the judges can postpone a case.

I have a forged document in my hand. How did you create such a fake document? I am still registered as the Deputy Secretary of the party in the Election Commission.
