Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna’s Kurunegala District MP Asanka Navaratne said that the Opposition Leader’s media team or one of its journalists has fabricated news that he had joined the Samagi Jana Balawegaya. He said that a group of members of Samagi Jana Balawegaya wanted to show that Asanka Navaratne had joined their party with the aim of preventing the members of that Party from switching Parties.

The MP said this while attending a press conference called by the Sri Lanka People’s Party represented by him. He said that neither he nor his Party will get involved in such political projects.
