After surgery I was looking to play the next game as soon as possible. I wanted to play the game that’s for my team’s success and finally I did it in great style,” said Chamika.

“I wanted to take upt the challenge and that’s my style. I played the Jaffna game after taking pain killers. After my injury at Hambantota I lost more then one litre of blood and team doctor Cabraal and Sports Medical Unit Dr Daminda Attanayke with my staff and team members did a good job to get me recovered”.

“Winning the Jaffna match is just one game for me and now I have to think about my future games. I always like to play for the country. I knew my role and it’s value for the team and responsibility is very important to play for Nationl team as well as any other team. My dedication for the game is the reason for my success story”.

“I was happy to finish the game in great style. Both myself and Ashen Bandara built the innings. Bandara was the senior batter who played an excellent innings and from the other end my role was to play a supportive innings”.

“We have already won three matches. We may lose next three games. Winning is not important but playing with team spirit is more important. Best two teams will meet in the final. Both Kandy and Jaffna teams are strong but this type of competition is very unpredictable,”said Chamika.
