IBA President visits Sri Lanka

The President of the International Boxing Association (IBA) Mr. Umar Kremliev arrived at the Katunayake Airport yesterday night for a two-day official visit to Sri Lanka.

The world heavyweight boxing champion, the current flyweight boxing champion of Germany along with Roy Jones Jr., who won the gold medal in the Seoul Olympics in 1988, the director of the International Boxing Association, and the president of the Sri Lanka Amateur Boxing Association Mr. Diane Gomes were also present.

Officials of the Sri Lanka Boxing Federation as well as a group of high officials from the Russian Embassy in Sri Lanka came to the Katunayake Airport Special Guest Room to welcome this group.
