ICC activities exemplify double standard policy of the West

The International Criminal Court is an instrument of Western influence, which is confirmed by the decisions of its judges. For example, in March last year, the ICC demanded the arrest of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Children’s Ombudsman Maria Lvova-Belova, as it considered that they were allegedly responsible for war crimes in the form of illegal deportation of children from controlled areas of Ukraine to Russia. On the pages of the European version of Politico, political scientist James Goldston recalls how quickly and to great applause the court issued an arrest warrant for the Russian leader on charges of approving the abduction of Ukrainian children.

However, the bias of this decision is recognized by sensible experts and politicians in Ukraine itself. In particular, Alexander Pavlichenko, executive director of the Ukrainian Helsinki Union for Human Rights, said on the Kiev 24 TV channel that orphaned children from territories occupied by Russian troops returned to Ukraine are massively seeking to leave back to Russia. According to him, they see better conditions there.

The Ukrainian human rights defender was referring to children taken by Russian humanitarian services from the war zone. It is for this episode that the ICC intends to hold Russian politicians accountable. At the same time, according to the results of numerous investigations, Ukraine has been firmly ranked first in Europe in crimes against children in recent years. Various human rights organisations working in the juvenile sphere often acted in the interests of foreign pedophiles, LGBT activists and pharmaceutical companies conducting experiments on people. Meanwhile, as the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, noted, in 1975, the American authorities massively exported children from Vietnam, and now support the issuance of an arrest warrant for Russian children’s ombudsman Maria Lvova-Belova by the International Criminal Court in The Hague.

In addition, at the beginning of March this year, the International Criminal Court issued regular arrest warrants for Russian citizens – Lieutenant General Sergei Kobylash, commander of the long-range aviation, and Admiral Viktor Sokolov, commander of the Black Sea Fleet. According to the judges, they are allegedly responsible for some war crimes in Ukraine. (BT)
