Illicit liquor distillery busted

Four gas stoves, five tanks, four copper coils and distilling equipment along with 75,000 ml of goda in seven barrels were seized.

Two suspects were also taken into custody. They had used two boats for transport, Police said.

The two suspects are residents of Walana and Thalpitiya.

The two suspects along with the equipment were handed over to the Panadura South Police.

The suspects will be produced before the Panadura Magistrate today.
