IME International donates Low Dead Volume (LDV) Syringes to Battle Against Covid

IME International, a subsidiary of IME Korea Group donated 24,000 Low Dead Volume (LDV) Syringes to the Ministry of Production, Supply and Regulation of Pharmaceuticals Minister, Honorable Professor Channa Jayasumana on the 13th (Tuesday) of July 2021 in support of the government’s efforts in the battle against the Covid-19 pandemic and in aid of the national vaccination drive.

The donation was handed over by Rumesh Ubayasiri the country head for IME Korea group and Assistant manager Udara Senanayake of the local representative branch.

The donation was accepted by the Honorable Minister Professor Channa Jayasumana and Secretary to the State Ministry Dr Saman Rathnayake was also present at the occasion.

Low Dead Volume (LDV) Syringes effectively increase the output per vaccine vial due to the reduction of wastage of the vaccine chemical which is left over in the syringe post injection.
