IMF encouraged by Sri Lanka’s commitment to continue reforms – MD Georgieva

IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva yesterday said they are encouraged by the commitment of Sri Lankan authorities to continue the reforms to safeguard the hard won gains under the IMF supported programme.

Taking into X, Georgieva said she had a comprehensive discussion with visiting Sri Lankan officials in Washington.

“Had a great discussion with Sri Lanka’s delegation. Encouraged by the authorities commitment to continue the reform efforts to safeguard the hard won gains under the IMF supported programme,”she said.

She stressed that the IMF will remain committed to supporting Sri Lanka build a better future for its people.
