Immediate polls for peace in the country – Sajith

Leader of the Opposition Sajith Premadasa called on the government for immediate polls, as the country needs a complete change.

He expressed these sentiments at an event held yesterday (30) in Anuradhapura. He said that, when the people of the country are suffering, commissions are being made off the shoulders of the people, and even now they are making commissions in millions. He further added that the modus operandi of the Ministry of Health is incurring huge losses to the country, by permitting institutions of its choice to buy lenses, while lives are being lost due to inferior medicines and others are going blind. In such a situation, the country needs a complete change, for which an election is imperative, for the people to bring about that change.
