Independent Group has not sent names for PM post – SLFP

Former President and Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) leader Maithripala Sirisena yesterday said although several names have been proposed for the post of Prime Minister from the MP’s who decided to be independent in Parliament those have not yet been referred to the President. He said the names were proposed during a meeting of the government’s Independent Group Wednesday.  

It was reported that the names of former ministers Nimal Siripala de Silva, Dullas Alahapperuma and Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe were proposed at the meeting.
