
India’s National Cooperative Export Limited (NCEL) and Sri Lanka’s COOPFED have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the supply of essential food commodities from India to Sri Lanka.
Indian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka Santosh Jha and Minister of Trade, Commerce, Food Security and Cooperative Development Wasantha Samarasinghe witnessed the signing of the agreement.
Jha said the two sides also held discussions on trade and commercial matters between India and Sri Lanka, including the proposed upgrading of the existing India-Sri Lanka Free Trade Agreement (FTA).
