Indian diplomats briefed on investment opportunities at CHEC Port City

Deputy Managing Director of CHEC Port City Colombo [Pvt.] Ltd Thulci Aluwihare met the Deputy High Commissioner of Sri Lanka in Southern India Dr. D. Venkateshwaran and Minister (Commerce) of the Deputy High Commission G. L. Gnanatheva recently. During the meeting, they discussed the importance of sourcing Southern Indian investments for the Port City projects. In this regard, Deputy Managing Director solicited the Deputy High Commission’s facilitation towards communicating the high end investments from the Southern part of India to Colombo Port City.

The discussion was also focussed on various perceptions presently prevailing among the investors on Port City. Thulci exchanged information on the veracity of wrong notions prohibiting various investors’ interests in investing in the Port City. He requested the Deputy High Commission’s assistance to meet the prospective investors in Southern Indian States enabling him to participate and exchange the correct information on the status of the Port City.

The Deputy High Commissioner has requested a presentation and the background of its legitimate standing to be circulated among the prospective investors in Southern India. Both agreed to continue further engagements to source high profile South Indian investors to Port City.
