Indian University gold medal for Jaffna doctor

Jaffna University senior lecturer Dr. Nithiyapriya Sivaram has received the highest gold award given by an Indian University for Siddhayurvedic medicine this year.

She is a lecturer at Jaffna University. She has qualified for this gold award given by Dr. MGR Medical University of Tamil Nadu, India, because she has secured the highest marks in all the three years from 2020 to 2022.

Dr. Sivaram, who is currently working as a senior lecturer in Siddha Ayurveda at the Jaffna University’s Medical Faculty is the second student to obtain a medical degree from an Indian University in Gynaecology and Paediatrics and the first person to receive a gold medal from an Indian University.

She obtained a first class in the final year of the undergraduate degree at the Jaffna University and received special awards from the university.
