The Nippon paint Inter Club ‘A’ Division League Rugby Tournament which was halted abruptly due to the prevailing situation of the country one month ago will resume on May 14 (Saturday) with defending champions Kandy Sports Club confronting CH&FC at the Colombo Race Course and second placed Havelock Sports Club playing host to Police Sports Club at Havelock Park.

The tournament will conclude with the final week’s matches on May 21 with CH&FC taking on Police Sports Club at the Race Course and the League Championship decider between second placed Havelock Sports Club and Kandy SC at Havelock Park. Kandy SC are leading the points table with a five point lead over Havelock SC. The lads from Kandy are tipped to retain the title unless they lose at least one match and then Havelock SC win both remaining matches with bonus points.

This will be followed by the most prestigious rugby tournament, the Clifford Club Knockout Rugby Tournament which is likely to be worked off in the last weekend of May where the above four clubs will be joined by Army SC, Navy SC, Air Force SC and CR&FC.
