Jaffna International Trade Fair concludes…
The 12th Edition of the Jaffna International Trade Fair, (JITF) the most anticipated platform for Small and Medium Entrepreneurs to introduce their products to the population of the North concluded last weekend.
The event was organized by Lanka Exhibition & Conference Services (Pvt) Ltd (LECS), in association with the Chamber of Commerce & Industries of Yarlpanam (CCIY) and endorsed by International Business Council, The Ministry of Industry & Commerce and the Consulate General of India in Jaffna.
The Main Sponsor for the event was Insee Cement. Ruhunu foods were Food Partner while Telecommunication Partner was Mobitel (Pvt) Ltd while Safety & Hygiene Partner was Sun Match Company (Pvt) Ltd.
“Each time we host this event the JITF helps to increase economic activity between the North, South and other regions of the island,” said event organiser (LECS) CEO Aasim Mukthar.
The event which also helped economic development in the North saw a large gathering featuring multi trade stalls featuring industries, products and services in the Agriculture, Hospitality, Education, Food industries and Machinery, Construction, Consumer, Electronics, and real estate sectors.
The education pavilion “Kalvi” also featured many higher education institutions.
Thailand Ambassador-to Sri Lanka, Poj Harnpol, Ram Mahesh, Head of Chancery, Consulate General of India, Governor of Northern Province Jeevan Thiyagaraja, Chairman Export Development Board, Suresh De Mel and many invites participated in the three day event.
