JEDB employee in data deletion attempt suspended

The Janatha Estates Development Board (JEDB) Deputy Chairman R.P.G.Seneviratne said a female employee was suspended with immediate effect for attempting to delete the date from the JEDB head office’s computer system.

He added that the management of the JEDB which found the attempt suspended the suspect employee and commenced a preliminary investigation and lodged a complaint before the CID too.

The JEDB management had been vigilant over such a crime at their institution with the deletion of data at such institutions and could they managed to track the suspect.
